Pick Your Own Pumpkins: The Brocksbushes Pumpkin Experience

Every October, families from across Northumberland, Newcastle and the wider North East head to Brocksbushes in the Tyne Valley for a pumpkin-picking day out like no other. The Pumpkin Experience will be back in October 2027.

The farm team grow their pumpkins and squash right here on the farm, with dozens of varieties to choose from for carving, decorating and cooking. Alongside the picking there's a pumpkin carving tent, the magical Witches Way, photo spots, family rides and inflatables, plus food and drink from local street food vendors.

For little ones: the Baby Brocks Pumpkin Patch has its own activities, and toddler days in half-term week offer a quieter visit while the big kids are still at school.

For dogs: dedicated WOOF days welcome dogs in the patch, as long as they stay on leads.

Twilight Sessions: on selected evenings the patch stays open late with live music, street food, seasonal cocktails and mocktails, and twinkling lights among the pumpkins.

Now a seasonal tradition for many families, the Pumpkin Experience is popular and tickets must be booked online in advance. The 2027 dates will be announced nearer the time, so keep an eye on the Brocksbushes website for updates.
