Dress up warm and spend the day exploring the unique, outdoor theatrical experience set in the stunning and award-winning Kielder Water and Forest Park in Northumberland. The whole family will enjoy embracing the spirit of Christmas at Kielder Winter Wonderland, but our activities are most suitable for children between the ages of three and ten.

Your full day at Kielder Winter Wonderland will include everything from helping in the elves' workshop to walking through the enchanted forest to find Father Christmas and his festive friends. You never know who you could bump into. You will be entertained at the Christmas theatre, enjoy a song and dance display with The Beavers, spend time with Mrs Christmas and Snowy Owl, and meet the reindeer in training for Christmas. Children will meet Father Christmas, and you can choose to have a special letter sent from him to your child as a memento of their magical day.

Kielder Waterside is home to luxury lodges all set in 250 square miles of stunning Northumberland countryside, available to book for a weekend stay to enhance your Winter Wonderland experience. Our site is accessible for wheelchair users and those requiring a flatter path, and there are pram parks for families to stow pushchairs and prams where there is not space to enter with them.

A relaxed performance for families living with additional needs takes place on Saturday 28 November 2026, with reduced capacity, lower noise and lighting, and staff trained in autism awareness.

• Kielder Winter Wonderland 2026 runs on 28th and 29th November, then 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd December
• This is a full day experience, times are allocated to you when you book your tickets
• We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your first activity to allow time to get on site and for any delays or traffic
• The site opens from 9.30am, with festive rides and activities beginning from 10am, and closes at 5pm
• Saturday 28 November is a day of relaxed performances for families living with additional needs
• Tickets are budget-friendly for a full day out, with a small booking fee added at checkout
