With cycling routes in some of the region’s most popular destinations, including Kielder Water and Forest Park, Warkworth to Amble and along the Northumberland coast at Blyth.

Coast and Castles Route

The clue is in the name of the Coast and Castles Cycle Route, which scales Northumberland’s magnificent, castle-scattered coastline. The idyllic, 192 mile route stretches from Newcastle to Edinburgh, and 85 miles of it lie in Northumberland.

Hadrian's Cycleway

Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage corridor is the ‘hook’ for the Hadrian’s Cycleway route which winds its way through England for 174 miles. Northumberland holds 33 miles of it, dipping into the iconic, central sections of the Wall at every opportunity.

The Pennine Cycleway

The 355 mile Pennine Cycleway is split into three maps, and Northumberland’s section weaves its way through the North Pennines. Ending at our coastal town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, it traverses some of England’s most dramatic unspoilt landscapes.
