Fenham Farm Coastal retreat offers self-catering accommodation and venue facilities in a beautiful location overlooking Holy Island on the Northumberland coast.
It is ideally situated for days out to beaches,castles, places of interest and golf courses and we are nearly exactly 60 miles either way to Edinburgh and Newcastle if you fancy going further afield. It’s a lovely train journey from Berwick upon Tweed to Edinburgh up the North East coast.
A total of seven en-suite bedrooms (with showers) accommodate up to 14 adults and 4 children. Inside each bedroom, you’ll find all round modern comfort with cosy underfloor heating, luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets and feather down duvets. (synthetic can be supplied) Towels are provided.
Each room has a television, hairdryer and the outside rooms have tea/ coffee making facilities. Free wifi is available throughout.
Within the main Granary building are two bedrooms, including a generous family bedroom comfortably sleeping two adults and three children with a superking, single and bunk beds.
There are an additional five bedrooms located in the outside buildings and include Lapwing – a spacious kingsized double bedroom with additional accessibility features.
We can supply a floor plan to help in room allocation.
The main areas are on the level with a lift to the upstairs lounge. The 2 bedrooms in the Granary building have steps.
Guests can relax in the spacious upstairs lounge and enjoy the amazing sea views. It is accessible by lift. One end of the lounge has seating around a large picture window looking out over Holy Island.
The other end is a cosy, comfortable space with a wood burning stove and television.
There are so many days out in Northumberland but if a “day in” is more what you fancy there is still plenty to do. We have games, jigsaws and even a table tennis table for some friendly competition!
There are some walks mapped out around the farm and we have a small herd of alpacas who would be very pleased to meet you. Alpaca experiences (feeding and walking) are available to book.
The fully-equipped kitchen has a range cooker with gas hob and
electric ovens. There are an additional 2 built in ovens/grill as well as an electric hob sited on the kitchen island.
The kitchen has lots of cupboards to accommodate your food supplies and there are plenty pots, pans, cookware and serveware. There is a large larder fridge, a fridge freezer and smaller integrated undercounter fridge. A microwave, food processor, hand mixer and small coffee machine are available.
There is a barbecue situated in the courtyard for guests to use.
The large dining room includes seating for up to 20 guests which can be configured any way to suit your group needs. There is a bar area with a drinks fridge and glassware.
