Fantastic new manager called Stephen

danidoll18, Houghton-le-Spring, United Kingdom
We visit here often as we are owners at Haggerston castle caravan park just next door. The food is always lovely apart from once when it wasn't great and a staff member was extremely rude however she no longer works there now but I want to comment how extremely impressed we were with the new gentleman he is called Stephen I believe. He was so warm and friendly and took the time to speak to us. He was very knowledgable and genuine. He also taught us that the Lindisfarne actually part of about 8 or so different places around the northeast and further. Actually it's part of the seaton lane inn which I live down the road from which I never knew all these years I've been going there and didn't know. Anyway well done Stephen you are a gem and you are a credit to the Lindisfarne inn and we hope to see you again on our next visit! What a lovely young man!

Another great Christmas at the Lindisfarne Inn

I have nothing but good comments to make regarding the place, the location, the staff, (particularly the staff), the food, the comfort. All in all, for me, it's the perfect venue for an extended Christmas stay. This time we spent a few days here and ventured as far as Edinburgh on one of the days, Berwick on another, Holy island (of course), on another and relaxed at the Inn on other days. Would we return? Of course. Watch this space.

We visited for a late lunch after a visit to Lindisfarne. The staff were extremely friendly. Food was basic and decent but definitely had that "chain pub" feel - table number and order at the bar - don't know why but I wasn't expecting that. Side order of onion rings forgotten. Staff member apologetic. Only 2 tables eating.

Our second Christmas here

Badjester1, Whitley Bay, United Kingdom
We did Christmas Day here last year and stayed Christmas night. This year I decided to spend a few days here so we booked in for a 5 night stay (well minus one night as we went on a trip up to Edinburgh.) We booked two double rooms and the prices were extremely reasonable! As I said last year the rooms are basic in the sense you get everything I believe you need. I'm not into pointless frills so having a good sized clean cosy room suits me, that's what you get here. Lovely big spacious showers with good water flow and working TV. The food was outstanding with a good choice to choose from. The Northumbrian game pudding was absolutely delicious! The team were very welcoming and we met some really nice people during our stay. Christmas dinner was really good and we weren't left wanting. So a big thanks to all the front of house, chefs, cleaners etc. Especially Steven as I thought his customer service was second to none! All the best for 2018.

Perfect winter break

samccluskey, Bedlington, United Kingdom
Had a wonderful 4 night Winter Break stay with our pet dog on an evening meal, bed and breakfast basis. Room very clean, comfortable and warm. Staff were very friendly and helpful and catered for my dietary needs. We had Christmas Day lunch too which was faultless. They’re a pet friendly hotel with a dining area specific for those with dogs. We’ll be back again in the summer as cyclists. There’s a secure shed together with maintenance stand for basic repairs and a bike wash down area. A lovely place to stay. We’ll be back for sure!
