Anniversary Surprise

Mark R, Carlisle
My husband booked this hotel as a 14th wedding anniversary surprise; he couldn't get anything in Seahouses in July at short notice. The room was of moderate size and had pretty much what we needed but seemed expensive for what was on offer. The rooms are in a motel style building and are a bit gloomy with no outlook. The staff were pleasant enough and got an iron and ironing board quickly when we asked for one. Breakfast was average; no fresh, dried or tinned fruit. There were basic boxed cereals; no muesli or healthy option. There were yogurts and only white bread. For £109 for the night I think I expected a little more. It's a handy location for Lindisfarne, but bear in mind you are located on the A1. They seem very well set up for cyclists.

You cannot ask for more!

We have worked out this is our eighth year staying at the Lindisfarne Inn, during this time we have seen a few changes, but one thing is for sure the quality and friendliness of this inn never changes! To be honest that is not quite true! it just keeps on getting better if that is possible! We have never been disappointed with our stay here; the rooms are comfortable with adequate space, have all that you need, very warm and cozy and exceptionally clean- totally faultless! The food is always excellent, an exciting menu (although this will have changed at time of writing) with a good overall selection and choice from the proven and nice to see standard dishes that are always a good choice to imaginative and interesting combinations of flavor that again show that the chef is pushing boundary's further and further - a credit to you all! the front of house staff and management are, well, exceptional! nothing is too much trouble, everything is severed with a smile and a little chat even at busy times making you feel special and comfortable, from checking in to checking out the management and team makes your stay here simply perfect. I cannot fail to mention the assistant GM Stephen, he is absolutely brilliant, he always has time for you even again when he is busy, he goes more than an extra mile in making you welcome, he tirelessness asks about your day and plans, although he has a full hotel and often gives you advice and suggestions of places to see or go. I dont know if any of the senior management or board of directors ever read these comments but he is a fantastic asset to your company and business. I have met Chris the GM a number of times before and although i didnt have chance to chat with him for long i know he will make an excellent manager of the most recent addition to your collection of inns at Amble. - just perfection as always. As i started to say this is our eighth year and i can assure you it will not be our last! I have yet again spread the word with people that i know who are showing an interest in staying at the inn and i have no reservations in highly recommending this inn to anyone. ONCE AGAIN A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE !

The Lindisfarne Inn is modern and offers a varied menu. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely restaurant and adjacent bar is suitable for all age groups. Situated on the A1 which is very convenient for a stop off or meal if staying in the area. Nice outside seating area for warmer weather. Food was very good and portions were substantial.

This being our 3rd visit this year, and the reasons we return are the warm welcome from such attentive friendly staff, room cleanliness, and delicious food. Brilliant location for Holy Island and Seahouses, dog friendly too. Steve, the Manager and his staff are a credit to themselves, 100% customer service every time.

Great dog friendly find serving nice food

julie h,
It was lovely to find a nice pub with a separate dog friendly space in which to eat without being glared at. The food was of a good quality, we chose the Sunday lunch and our only tiny concern was that the portion size was a little on the small size. The neighbouring table certainly had more food and it was exactly the same option. It wouldn't stop us returning though.
