Weekend trip

Cracking place to stay. Lovely room. King size bed, TV, coffee, tea etc. On suite with shower. Food! We stayed on a bed, breakfast and evening meal. Two courses for main meal, either a starter or dessert. As it was Friday we had fish and chips, blimey the fish was nearly twice the size of my hand!. Sticky toffee pudding, oh my belt needed loosening! Breakfast as much tea or coffee as you could drink. Juice, cereals, and stacks of toast. Different types of breakfast, Northumberland full certainly filled the plate. ALL meals waiter served. As for the staff, well they couldn't do enough for the guests. Chatting and joking meals served quickly. A small bar but we'll stocked. A mention for the cleaning staff who went about their duties efficiently. Great position on the A1 and on the road to Holy Island. If visiting the north east give it a try, even if it's just for a meal.

Brilliant hotel

Excellent Motel type rooms, clean and comfortable. Food very upmarket pub grub with plenty of choice. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.Breakfast excellent but hard to finish, too much for me but I'm not a breakfast person.

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at the Lindisfarne Inn this weekend. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are in a separate building adjacent to the original Inn and are very nice indeed. Really clean and comfortable, with en-suite bathroom, TV, and tea making facilities. We had a great three course meal , each having potted crab to start, veggie Haggis Neeps and Tatties for my wife’s main - lovely cod and chips for me. We both had the cheese platter to finish with our house red which was smokey and mellow. All in all, an excellent meal. Breakfast did not disappoint either, plenty of toast, cereal, juice, and tea/coffee available - and that was before my full Northumbrian breakfast appeared! I had heard good things about The Inn Collection chain before and this visit confirmed the good press. Well done to all the staff, we will be visiting again as soon as we can!!

Was ok but could have been better

My friend and I stayed here this weekend on the dinner bed and breakfast deal. The twin room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Went for dinner at 7:30 - the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy but we were told they were out of one starter and one main option. We ordered two mains and two starters and two glasses of rose wine. One starter came and after a wait we asked about the other- if we hadn’t I’m not sure it would have come. It was a risotto which was quite an ugly shade of grey 😕 and not particularly nice. We then waited and waited for our mains- long enough to order more wine which when it came was a completely different colour and type- the waitress was adamant it was the same even though it clearly wasn’t- she did take it away and bring the right one in the end. Mains arrived- my scampi and chips was nice but my friends chicken tikka masala was the brightest red I’ve ever seen and the rice was very claggy. Never mind we went back to our room and chilled out with some more wine! Breakfast was good- can’t beat a full English to set you up for the day. When we came to pay our final bill the wine had been taken off which was very kind. The lady did apologise about the previous night and said they were short staffed. All in all not a bad stay especially for the price.

Great stop on the way to Scotland

This is the third time we have stayed here and we have always been really happy with the Lindisfarne Inn. It is excellent value for money. The room, though quite simple, was very clean, warm, comfortable and had everything you would need. The dinner, included in the deal, was substantial and well cooked as was the breakfast. The staff we encountered were delightful and very helpful. I am very happy to recommend this hotel to anyone who recognises value for money.
