Right on main A1 road at the crossroad to Holy Island

A very convenient place to stop for coffee or lunch, or for an overnight stay in case you want to make an early start across the Causeway to the Island. Watch tide times. Can get busy due to its location.

Busy place

This was a very busy place with lovely friendly staff. Hubby enjoyed his meal but I found my vegetarian option of local dish 'rumbke-de-thumps' - described as a tasty mix if potatoes, veg and kale topped with cheese - to be completely bland and sadly lacking in cheese! I did mention this when waitress came to collect plates and noticed I hadnt eaten much of mine (added lolots of salt and pepper and even tried mayo to make it edible but still couldnt face it) I went to pay at bar and mentioned it again but was simply told they would pass my comment to chef! No discount for the less than half eaten meal. Pity as my husband did enjoy his.

We had a super meal in a lovely setting

Just at the beginning of the road which leads to the Holy Island Causeway this is a super place to stop for a meal. Very friendly, good quality food and very good atmosphere. Just off the A1 at Beal so very easy to find and plenty of parking space. There is a garage and a small shop on the same site. We have not stayed in any of the rooms.

Nice Hotel

This Inn is a convenient place to stay at if you are looking to check out Holy Island. It is pet friendly and has special cycling prep station that is a dream to cycling enthusiasts. The pub inside this Inn has good food and friendly staff. Will definitely come back again.

Walking holiday heroes!

I stumbled into the Lindisfarne Inn much earlier in the day than planned due to a serious knee injury. As soon as I arrived, Mathew provided me with icepacks, space to elevate my leg and brought me a hot drink. My room reservation was also altered so that I could have a ground floor room as I could no longer manage the stairs. My luggage was also taken to my room for me. When my walking friend joined me, we enjoyed a delicious meal, and the general manager was similarly caring and concerned for my well being and ensured that I had a full ice bucket for through the night which was so very needed. My room was large spacious and comfortable so there were plenty of pillows to elevate my leg and the courtesy tray was well stocked. The room and ensuite were both immaculate and it made for a very comfortable place to be. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal but would love to have breaded or battered whitebait instead of it just being plain with dips. The following morning both Mathew and Chris were equally attentive with fresh ice, and just making sure I was okay until my husband came to collect me from a long distance away and never made me feel like a bother or unwelcome. Although both these young guys said they were just doing their job, in my eyes and that of my friend, they went way beyond the calls of duty and I will remember that forever especially as I ended up in hospital!! The fact that they offered ice so promptly and ensured I had plenty has been a massive factor in a serious situation, and I will remain forever grateful. Although it is going to be quite a while until I can finish St Cuthberts, I do intend to return and will most definitely return for another stay. These 2 young men, totally prove the kindness and care of human nature. Thank you so very much.
