Sanderson Arcade is a shopping centre in the heart of Morpeth. The Arcade blends with the beauty of a traditional English Market town with all the major high street names our shoppers love. It’s just a few minutes’ drive from the A1 off the A197 exit.
The Arcade was officially opened by Joanna Lumley in November 2009 and over the last nine years the centre has grown in reputation – becoming one of the most popular shopping destinations in the North East. The Arcade is home to more than 30 stores offering high quality retail including Marks & Spencer, Laura Ashley, Hobbs, Waterstones, Paperchase and Monsoon as well as some fantastic local independent retailers – all aimed at “Making Shopping Special”. Sanderson Arcade also has some great places to eat or grab a coffee including Central Bean Coffee House, The Morpeth Larder and individually designed restaurant Barluga Morpeth.
New for 2018, British womenswear brand Mint Velvet opened its first North East stand-alone boutique and the Arcade also welcomed UK’s leading card and gift retailer, Card Factory.
Don’t miss the popular weekly Wednesday Market and the Morpeth Farmers’ Market on the first Saturday of every month in the Morpeth Market Place. Plus, every October Morpeth holds an annual Morpeth Food and Drink Festival with over 100 food and drink vendors, a demo kitchen packed with fabulous local chefs, royal fusiliers performance, live music and much more. It’s a weekend not to be missed!
