A great place for a family gathering

lucanor1, John in Sheffield
We stayed at Budle Hall for three nights recently for a family gathering for a significant wedding anniversary, with an age-range from 71 to 12 years old (we are a small family). Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we had an elegant sitting-room at our disposal. The breakfast, served in a similarly impressive dining-room, were excellent, and included an impressive range of choices. Most of all, we were made to feel very welcome, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience of staying at Budle Hall. Thank-you to everyone at Budle Hall for making this a most memorable celebration.

Lovely stay

We recently stayed at Budle Hall and it was lovely. Yummy breakfasts, excellent hosts and huge beds - perfect! Great location and fascinating part of the world which I am keen to revisit soon and I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else.

Budle Hall Bed and Breakfast

James P, Norwich, United Kingdom
Lovely place to stay in it's own grounds. Great hosts and staff. We especially liked the arrangement for breakfast where we all ate at one big table. We got to know our fellow guests and we were lucky that they were all friendly. One couple lives about 8 miles from us. What is the chance of that! The room we stayed in was lovely, (Green room). The bed was really comfy and really large. I think another time I will try the room with the fantastic bathroom. We loved seeing the hens roaming around the garden and I'm sure we must have had some of their eggs. The staff were just great. At the time we went, they were mostly students from the EU: Italy, Czech Republic and Germany. I even had my case taken to my room and a tray of tea and cake served to welcome us in the lovely lounge. If you are a pianist, there are two grand pianos you can play, one is a Steinway concert grand. This place has got it just right as far as I am concerned.

TWO DAYS OF DECADENCE

guinness492017, Washington, United Kingdom
We have just returned from a 2 night stay at Budle Hall and cannot recommend this establishment highly enough. We stayed in the Blue Rooms and were overwhelmed not only with the spacious accommodation and opulent bathroom but the vista that awaited you when you drew the curtains back on a morning to drink in the beautiful view of the grounds and watch the sheep lazily grazing nearby. Please visit the Secret Garden as it is so peaceful and very quaint and whilst strolling around I felt that I had been transported back to days gone by. Grateful thanks fo Ralph and Celia who made our stay very special. Will definitely return. Regards, Fred, Kath and Sam the Cocker Spaniel, who by the way had a great holiday too.

Outstanding country house B and B

Rutlandreviewer,
Wonderfully located within easy walking distance of Budle Bay, Budle Hall is a substantial, elegant house located in its own grounds. Sheep graze safely on the other side of the ha-ha. The owners are friendly and unobtrusive and whilst it is a grand house, they have made it very homely. Maps and binoculars and walking sticks are supplied. There is a 'secret garden' where the children can play. Excellent breakfast with gluten free options. Our comfortable large room had lovely views towards the bay. Strongly recommended.
