The Joiners Arms is your very own village inn; a haven for lovers of fresh, locally sourced food served up with a contemporary flourish and drinkers of all tastes, from crazy cocktails to comforting real ales. Plus, we're big into families, so kids get to eat, rest and play with everyone else.
The Joiners Arms Restaurant is lively, friendly and a little bit quirky, and the perfect place to hang out when you're not engaged in spectacular coastal adventures or hiding out in your luxe Northumberland boutique bedroom.
We are located in one of the UK’s most beautiful places, in the heart of a National Trust-designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) which fuses the best of both worlds – spectacular countryside and a breathtaking coastal location just an hour from the metropolitan hearts of Newcastle to the south and Edinburgh to the north.
Our 5 Gorgeous boutique bedrooms are individually designed to put the luxe into luxury inns, with irresistible charms like four-poster beds, roll top baths and lots of room for love.
We’re only a couple of miles from the spectacular Farne Islands, famed for its bird life and Atlantic grey seals (boat trips from nearby Seahouses are wild and memorable!); Alnwick Castle and Gardens, home of the first two Harry Potter films; Holy Island, a little gem easily reached across a causeway (just watch the tide...), and some of the best surfing and water sports, golf, field spots, walking and country pursuits you could wish for.
We hope to welcome you to Northumberland’s most luxury Inn soon.

Let down and disappointed
I booked a table for fathers day for 2pm. I received a call at 12.25 to ask where I was as the table had been booked for 12pm. I told them it was definitely 2pm as i had even asked for the best time for them when I booked it. Although they were very apologetic they offered no solution and I'm really disapponted as it's very rare that my family all get together for a nice meal and we were all travelling an hour to get there. I'd really been looking forward to it and it's really put me off booking again.
Lovely pub, superb service.

We were a family party of 8 - 4 adults, 2 children and 2 long dogs and their blanket! We stopped for lunch at this lovely pub one Monday, with no prior booking. We were made to feel very welcome. The food was delicious, the wheat-intolerance of one of our party was taken into consideration, the dogs got treats and we were all made to feel very special. It was such a lovely experience! I highly recommend The Joiners Arms.
Extra special evening and lovely staff

Went along to the Joiners Arms for pre birthday celebrations and was not disappointed. The staff were all lovely and very accommodating. Our server Billy was extra lovely and had some very good suggestions, kept us laughing all night. Andrew the manager was also great suggesting some exceptional Gin all night.. Hoxton gin is a must if you like coconut and grapefruit! The food was simply delicious. Could not fault it. This place is a must try! Thank you all so much for a wonderful evening.
Lovely pub just a few issues
I pre booked my table an hour before our visit. On arrival we were given a table in the bar area which wasn't bad until two other couples walked in and they had 3 dogs between them. I like dogs and that wasn't the issue but one of the dogs kept whining all the time and the other wandering around near us.... My problem is I had booked a table and stated no dogs with us and we got wedged between couples and their dogs..... the restaurant area was fine and empty empty Also I had lots of bones in my fish and chips which has put me off fish considerably
