Wag & Company is a registered charity in the North East of England. We enable volunteers and their dogs to befriend older dog lovers who miss the company of a dog. Our annual sponsored dog walks, hosted by Northumbrian Water and supported by Arco, will take place this September.
The 10km walks (with a 3km wheelchair accessible option) along the Lakeside Way are beautiful and walkers are always stunned by the spectacular scenery and have a great fun day out whilst enabling a much needed local service at the same time. Our Walk for Wag will take place on 23 September 2018 and is open to individuals, families with children, friends, dog walking groups and colleagues. Our Business Walk will take place on 24 September 2018 and is open to North East Businesses sending sponsored teams, supporting us as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programmes and their commitment to our communities.
The events are open from 9:30 a.m. and check in for the walks is at the Kielder Waterside by no later than 10:45 a.m. We will provide branded t-shirts, dog bandanas, water, chocolate and dog biscuits, so that both humans and pooches not only look fabulous, but are nourished and hydrated during each walk. You can walk with or without a dog. There will be face painting, raffles and prizes as well as fantastic music from The Uketeers. There are no entry or parking charges, but walkers are asked to raise as much as possible through sponsorship or by making a donation.
