Hoolit has everything you'll need for a cosy, relaxing holiday. The cottage benefits from a well equipped kitchen, central heating, a log burning stove, TV and DVD player with a nest box camera and FREE WIFI. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay, including bed linen, towels and logs.
Hoolit has ample outdoor seating and dining areas and benefits from its own patio and BBQ to the side of the property.
The cottage is set within large gardens managed for wildlife which guests are welcome to explore. It has a seasonal burn, woodland, wildlife pond and meadow. We are often visited by roe deer, foxes, badgers, stoats and weasels and many other mammals are resident here including hares, rabbits, hedgehogs and bats. The gardens are bird rich too. Tawny owls, Barn owls and numerous other birds feed and nest here.
There's plenty for children too, including our pet poultry (turkey, chickens and ducks), tree swings, bridges and loads of opportunities for outside adventure.
For those who want to explore there are many walking and cycling opportunities close by in the Cheviots and Northumberland National Park. The Pennine Way and St Cuthberts Way cross at Kirk Yetholm, just two miles away. There are also numerous other attractions easily accessed by car including the amazing unspoilt northumberland coastline just over half an hour away); numerous castles including Bamburgh, Warkworth and Alnwick; abbeys and priories including Kelso, Jedburgh and Melrose; and loads of other visitor attractions including Harestanes, Heatherslaw Mill and Railway and Paxton House to name but a few.
