Budle Bay Bothies is located on Budle Bay Croft, a coastal small holding of several acres including a river has the Cheviot Hills to the west, is close to the Northumberland Coastal Path and Cycle Route and will have the England Coast Path (Bamburgh to Belford section) going through it very soon. Budle Bay, a bird watcher’s paradise, is nestled into the Lindisfarne Nature Reserve, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Special Scientific Interest.
Budle Bay Croft offers a unique combination of coast and country, a real farm-stay experience close to the majestic castles, outstanding beaches and quaint towns and villages of historic interest that have dog and child friendly eateries, and is in an ideal location for walkers, cyclists, nature lovers and outdoor sport enthusiasts.
Budle Bay Bothies has two quirky properties, each with onsite parking, private enclosed gardens with fire pit, patio furniture, swing, and BBQ. Dogs are welcome and there is no charge. We do however provide a dog bed, bowls, treats, towel and throw for sofa/ bed snuggles.
Bothy Ho Ho, so named as it is painted externally in Little Greene’s Ho Ho Green, is a luxury two-bedroom property that sleeps four people (plus an infant in a travel cot) and is incredibly well equipped, luxuriously appointed and super child and dog friendly. There are Smart TVs with Netflix in both bedrooms and the lounge. The main living area has a log burner with free logs. It is furnished with Timothy Oulton furniture and accessorised with local art and designer pieces including Tom Dixon, Pols Potten, Ralph Lauren and William Yeoward to name a few. The high specification kitchen has built in appliances including a washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge/ freezer, microwave and double oven. The kitchen is super well equipped including Alessi espresso maker, cafetiere, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser, Ninja appliances including a 7.5l 14 in 1 multi oven, Dualit toaster and kettle, and high-end crockery, cutlery and kitchen ware. There is also a range of toys, games, books as well as essential child equipment.
Two Shakes is a luxuriously appointed shepherd’s hut that sleeps two people. The gorgeous, beautifully furnished shepherds hut oozes style and 5-star glamping luxury yet remains cosy and snug. Features include a king-sized bedroom, shower room, galley kitchen and lounge area with a two-seater sofa, log burning stove with free logs, TV, Netflix and wifi. The decor has a coastal toned Farrow and Ball paint palette – very calming and relaxing. All linen is provided, which is hotel grade. The kitchen is solid wood hand built and painted, with a real oak work top, Belfast sink, built in fridge with ice box, small induction hob, oven, microwave, cafetiere, espresso maker, Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser, kettle, toaster and high-end cutlery, crockery and kitchenware. There are various indoor eating options including lap trays, tray stands and even a small bistro table and chairs.
