Family Spell Jar Workshop: 'Intentions in a Jar"

Bring your child for a magical hour together at the museum, learning about intention, herbs, and crystals before creating your own spell jar to take home.

We'll start by talking about what a spell jar is and the simple idea of setting an intention, a tradition that has been part of folklore and everyday life for generations. You'll then explore a selection of herbs and crystals together, learning the stories and traditional meanings behind each one, before choosing the ones that feel right for your jar.

The rest of the session is hands on. Working together at our seance table, you and your child will layer your chosen herbs and crystals, decide on your intention, and seal your jar to take home and keep.

This workshop is designed for one adult and one child to share, learning and creating side by side.

What's included:

• A guided introduction to intention setting and the folklore of herbs and crystals
• All materials to make your own spell jar (jar, herbs, crystals)
• A keepsake to take home

Details:

• Duration: 1 hour
• Suitable for children aged 6+ accompanied by an adult
• Limited to 3 pairs (6 people total) due to seating at our seance table
• All materials are non-toxic and the session is fully supervised
• Price: £15 per pair

Places are limited, so early booking is recommended.

As with all our workshops, we present folklore and tradition alongside a spirit of gentle curiosity. This is a fun, family-friendly introduction to a centuries-old practice, not a claim of supernatural power.
