Paxton Artisan Pop-Ups

The new Artisan Pop-Ups will take place monthly, on Tuesdays, in the recently refurbished Ballroom (former Portrait Gallery) at Paxton House, at Berwick-upon-Tweed in the Borders. They are organised by north Northumberland arts' company The Tin Shed as part of its new Art at Paxton events for 2026.

Every month, around 14 very talented local artists and makers, from across Northumberland and Scottish Borders, will showcase their creations and stage free demos, in this beautiful new event space. Each month will be different, with a huge variety of artists and makers taking part - from to printmakers, glassmakers, ceramicists, textile artists, weavers, sculptors, illustrators, jewellery designers and much more.

Access to the Ballroom is via the central courtyard where you will also find permanent exhibitions organised by Paxton House inside the adjoining Hayloft Gallery and the fabulous tea rooms.

Tours of the main house are also available as usual, as well as access to the gardens and grounds. Art at Paxton includes a number of events across 2026 - a two-day Spring Expo on March 28-29 Monthly Tuesday Artisan Pop-Ups and Summer Art at Paxton Exhibition on August 29-30. All take place inside the Ballroom, with occasional outdoor artist gazebos (please see Tin Shed site for updates and info) and all are free entry to the events.
