The light, the lives, and the textures of contemporary, working-class Mumbai are centred and celebrated through this poetic character study of three women from different generations facing distinct challenges.

All We Imagine as Light is a beautiful, sweeping, soulful film that explores the complexities of female friendship and captures the frantic and heady atmosphere of modern Mumbai.

Payal Kapadia’s Mumbai-set drama – became the first Indian film to win the Grand Prix award at Cannes and noteworthy for being the first Indian film from a female director ever to be in the main Competition strand at Cannes.
