Already great champions of the benefits of pedal-power, the National Trust have gone one step further with their brand-new family-friendly cycle route at the Wallington House & Gardens estate.
On the Dragon cycle trail, you'll pedal across Broomhouse Farm’s fields and enjoy far reaching views across Northumberland before before a jaunt through the woods down to the wildlife hide.
Designed with families in mind, the Dragon cycle trail features two routes: the green trail is 1.5km and perfect for beginners whilst the blue trail is a little longer and more challenging in places at approximately 4km long.
This safe, entry level trail is the ideal way to get out and about on the wider Wallington estate, and offers a brand-new aspect to a trip to an already fantastic day out a trip to Wallington provides. So the next time you're in the area, bring your bike and try out the trail!
The Dragon cycle trail will officially open on Sunday May 28th May.
Discover Wallington, much-loved home to generations of the unconventional Treveylan family and a magnificent estate where politics and play came together in the heart of Northumberland.
