Called in for a quick beer before going to see the osprey watch. Good service and friendly staff. Nice beer too. Food looked good from what I saw and it was quite busy.
Very disappointed in service

Went to the restaurant on our second day but felt the staff were very badly trained and quality of food was very basic. The outlook from restaurant was lovely and could be amazing place to go but found it very noisy and were never asked if we wanted dessert so paid bill and left.

Had a meal here in last night of holiday in one of the lodges. Menu looks Ok and food not too expensive. Pay around £10/11 for a main course. Between us had pizza, chicken pie and chicken goujons. Service was good and it wasn’t too busy. Had nachos to start which were fine. The mains were as described, just not great. My son’s pizza had a bit of a weird taste to it, very little tomato and loads of cheese. The rest were all Ok but plain. Not sure if lack of seasoning but just a bit disappointing for a meal out. Wish we’d driven and tried a local pub instead.
Good Facilities, Amazing View, Standard Food

We ate here as a 4 adults and 4 kids. Whilst the kids play areas, especially the bouncy pillows, were amazing, the staff nice and the views fabulous, unfortunately the food was beyond boring. Everything was deep fried, bog standard and the spaghetti carbonara was bland and disgusting. The steak and ale pie wasn’t bad but the kids meals came with either peas or beans - we had a mixture on the table and the beans were almost completely dry and baked onto the plate and the peas over cooked and almost mushy. On arrival we had to hunt for a member of staff only to find them all talking around the bar but when we got a waitress she was lovely. All in all facilities very good and a high quality -shame the food doesn’t stand up in the same way!

We went to the lake with family and friends and stayed for dinner. We were a large group with a diverse set of dietry requirements. Staff were more than eager to engage and suggest options to help meet everyone's needs. I personally tried their vegetarian pizza and fish and chips. Food quality was great and customer service was par excellence.
