One of the best kiddies to laces we’ve visited!

Lou260, Cardiff, United Kingdom
So much to do here both inside and out including animal petting, informative talks, feeding the animals and bouncy castles and trampolines. All staff were very friendly and helpful and animals well kept. A bit pricey to get in but you get lots for your money. Only criticism was the coffee was a bit watery in the cafe but they had a good range of food for kids and despite being the Easter hols the whole place including the cafe felt spacious. I just wish we lived nearer to go regularly! We live in South Wales and are visiting family in Northumberland.

Fantastic 1st visit

292keza, Berwick upon Tweed, United Kingdom
Visited today with my 10 month old daughter and 7 year old niece. Wasn't expecting much but we were pleasantly surprised by how much there is to see and do. We held animals in the petting barn, fed some very greedy goats, saw adorable tiny lambs and even gave one a bottle. The staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. They seem to love there job and the animals! There are play areas and a soft play. The new outdoor play area is fab. Both the kids loved it there. I'm hoping on our next visit the castle slide will be open. We took a picnic and was able to have it in the picnic barn. The tractor ride was fun. The driver was very friendly. Despite it being busy we managed to see everything and have lots of fun. We will definatly be returning in term time when it will be less busy!

Lacking!

aimeehep13, Newcastle, United Kingdom
Went in the morning in search of breakfast for me and something chocolatey for two teenagers. Very quiet, no customers, around 4 staff behind counter. Staff were busy talking amongst themselves and sorting out the servery. They all managed to ignore us as they went in and out of the kitchen and kept their eyes down as they came close to us standing at the counter watching them. Eventually one of them did come and take my order for a bacon roll. Bacon was good quality, breadbun half thickly covered in margarine. I do not like margarine and asked if I could just have bread without. They offered to re make the sandwich - I just got a grease free breadbun which was large but not particulary tasty. The teenagers wanted chocolate cake but we couldn't get the cake slicer through it. It seemed to be still frozen. We found some cake they liked and helped ourself to coffee then waited for someone to come out so we could pay. It was a strange and unfriendly experience and we felt like intruders more than customers. Staff should take a lesson in customer care from the lady in the gift shop who smiled and said a friendly 'hello' to every customer who passed through. There were lots passing through the gift shop and just one staff member. The cafe had just 3 customers and at least 4 staff who ignored us - very noticeable! Doubt we would go back in this cafe - there is nicer food and more pleasant staff in the nearest town.

Great farm centre

Jean1Jeanie, Manchester, United Kingdom
Had a great day out here. Cost of getting in was a bit off putting at first but well worth the admission price. Staff really friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Most importantly, the animals seemed well cared for and content. Lots of hands on experiences for the children (and adults). A lamb had just been born while we were there which was lovely. Loved the ICewe. Loads of activities and play areas, great for the children to let off steam. Must be fabulous to work in the nursery next door! The air pillows were a big hit. Nice well maintained picnic tables situated around the farm. The whole farm centre was nicely maintained with good hand washing facilities. It was an enjoyable place to be. Will definitely be visiting again.
