At the heart of The Tempus, beyond the glittering disco balls of our bar, lies The Orangery where all of our culinary delights can be enjoyed.

Whether you are choosing to join us for lunch, afternoon tea, or dinner, we present a selection of enticing menus for your pleasure. Watch our chefs at work creating delicious dishes for you to enjoy, in our open kitchen. Our à la carte menu highlights the finest local talent and ingredients, while our afternoon tea features an elegant assortment of delectable sweet and savory delights.

Our à la carte menu, curated by Head Chef Alistair Weightman, evolves with the seasons, offering a delightful dining experience.

For those seeking the comfort of tradition, our Tempus Classics feature familiar favorites such as fish and chips, the pie of the day, and a selection of three exceptional steak cuts.

Celebrate the transition from one week to the next by joining us at Tempus for a scrumptious Sunday roast, complete with all the traditional accompaniments.

Don’t forget to save space for a serving of our delectable cauliflower cheese and, naturally, a tempting dessert.
In addition to our renowned Sunday roasts, we also offer a selection of favorites from our à la carte menu
Delight in the delicate Tempus Afternoon tea showcasing the talents of our pastry chef and using ingredients sourced from the estate.

During the months of April to July, we will be donating £2 from the cost of every afternoon tea to the Great North Air Ambulance who we are thrilled to be supporting this year.

No need to leave the little ones out, we have a children’s afternoon tea too!

Milestone birthday on the horizon? Looking to plan a baby shower or engagement party? The Orangery is the perfect place to hold a get together with family and friends, making use of our bar space for cocktails and dancing.

With catering options including buffets, three course dining experience with a bespoke menu, canapés and afternoon tea, get in touch today.

Bespoke celebration cakes available upon request.
