Bonfire Night Fireworks Display Northumberland

Bonfire Night Northumberland 2026
Blyth Fireworks takes place on Saturday 31st October at Mermaid Car Park, Blyth, from 4pm to 9pm. The funfair, food stalls and a spooky Halloween disco start at 4pm, followed by a low-noise fireworks display at 6pm, ideal for young children and anyone with sensory needs, and the traditional display at 7.30pm. Family activities are free, with rides and food paid for on the night. There’s no parking at Mermaid Car Park, so arrive early or use public transport.
Morpeth fireworks returns to Morpeth Rugby Club on Sunday 1st November. Gates open at 5pm and the bonfire is lit at 6pm sharp. Admission is £8, or £6 for under-12s, paid on the night. It’s cash only, with no advance tickets. Refreshments are available in the clubhouse, and visitors are asked to use the town centre car parks.
Alnwick Fireworks returns to Alnwick Town Juniors Football Club on Saturday 7th November. Organised each year by the Alnwick & District Round Table, gates open at 6pm with the first fireworks launching at 7.30pm. Tickets are available on the gate (cash or card) at £6 for adults, £4 for children aged 4–16 and free for under-4s, or skip the queue with a fast-track ticket bought in advance. The funfair returns, with takeaway food trucks on site and the club bar open all evening, so it’s always a night to remember for the whole family.
Newbiggin by the Sea Fireworks takes place on Saturday 7th November, organised by the Newbiggin by the Sea Traders’ Association. Peter Richardson Funfair opens at 1pm, with food, sweets and refreshments available, before the fireworks light up the sky over the bay at 6pm. Entry is free, but donations are expected to help the event return next year.
Hexham Fireworks takes place at the Sele on Saturday 7th November, with the display starting at 7pm. Organised by Hexham Town Council with the support of local groups including Hexham Rotary Club and Tynedale Lions, the event is free to attend, with volunteers collecting donations on the night. Arrive early to find your spot in Sele Park.

- Twice Brewed Bonfire & Fireworks takes place on Thursday 5th November at the Twice Brewed Inn, near Hadrian's Wall. The event field opens at 5pm, the bonfire is lit at 6.30pm and a 30-minute fireworks display begins at 7pm. Entry is free, with no tickets needed. There's food on the event field, live music by the fire and activities for children. An overflow car park opposite the pub is signposted from the crossroads by The Sill. Please don't park on the roadside, and bring a torch. Limited Blue Badge parking is available in the pub car park, so arrive early. Check their website for details.
- Hadston Fireworks returns on Thursday 5th November, brought to you by Hadston House and East Chevington Parish Council. Food is served from 4.30pm in the Hadston House car park, and the display starts at 6pm. Spectators watch from the field behind Hadston Doctors. See their Facebook page for more information.
- Embleton Bonfire & Fireworks takes place on Thursday 5th November from 6.30pm on the field behind Embleton playpark. Entry is free, with donations going towards next year's display. There's a chip van on site and a bonfire-themed menu at the Dunstanburgh Castle Inn. Please avoid driving around the playpark corner between 6.30pm and 8.30pm. - Elsdon Bonfire & Fireworks takes place on Thursday 5th November from 6pm on Elsdon Village Green. It's a free event, made possible by donations in the charity buckets on the night, and has raised £5,000 for local charities to date. Refreshments and sparklers are on sale in The Bird in Bush, with something new planned for 2026. See the Facebook page for more information.
- Lowick Firework Display takes place on Saturday 7th November at Lowick Football Field. Gates open at 6pm, with the fireworks starting at 6.30pm. Entry is by donation, and parking is available at Lowick Hall Farm. Please note: no sparklers, as a condition of insurance.
