Tuesday 2nd December 2025 | 10am - 3pm | Ellingham Hall, NE67 5EY
A group of local artists and makers are dusting off their party frocks for a very special festive fair at one of Northumberland's most beautiful venues - and everyone is invited! Ellingham Hall, at Ellingham Village near Chathill, is an exclusive wedding venue, so usually doesn't open its doors to the general public - making this invitation even more special.
The annual Christmas arts' fair is organised by The Tin Shed - an unlikely collaboration with a grand house (you may think), but don't be fooled by the name, this arts' collective is home to some of the best artists and makers from Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. The Tin Shed was founded by former ITV Tyne Tees Television reporter Lesley McNish and stages pop-up arts' fairs and exhibitions at a number of grand venues including Paxton House and Ayton Castle. This year's Artisan Festive Fair at Ellingham on Tuesday, December 2, is their second event at the Hall.
Twenty artists and makers will showcase their creations across the Hall's ground floor which includes the stunning Ceremony Room, Old Chapel and Mezzanine. Visitors can also enjoy two beautiful lounges, where toasty fires will be lit and bakes, teas, coffees will be served, all decked out in festive finery and two Christmas trees
The event is open 10am till 3pm, free entry and there's a car park right next to the Hall. Visitors can also enjoy the beautiful gardens where peacocks wander freely. So wrap up warm, no need to dress up really, and join us for this magical event.
Well behaved dogs are welcome, but please keep them on leads at all times.
