Walltown Crags walk

Explore Walltown Crags
Walk along Hadrian’s Wall to see one of its most dramatic viewpoints. The wall is spectacularly preserved at this site, and the sheer, volcanic rock edge plunges into the landscape along the crags of the Whin Sill, creating a spectacular viewpoint.

The route that steals the show

Walltown Crags is best known for its dramatic views and is one of the most spectacular places to see Hadrian’s Wall, as it dives through the sweeping, volcanic rock edge landscape. The site sits between Birdoswald Fort and Housesteads Roman Fort, making it perfect for extending into a day out.
