Golfing in Northumberland

Tee time
Northumberland’s range of golf courses sit in our most stunning and dramatic landscapes. Swing your club along the coast, where sea views and castles are your backdrop. Or go golfing in the countryside and immerse yourself in nature while you play.

Get into the swing of things

Tee off on coast and country golf courses across the county, or play your way around mini and crazy golf courses with the family. We have true links challenges, nine and eighteen hole courses and courses fit to host the British Masters, which has historically taken place in Northumberland.

Our striking coastal courses, such as Bamburgh Castle Golf Club and Alnmouth Golf Club, are nestled just yards from our stunning beaches.

Both the European and Senior golf tours hold regular events in Northumberland. If you head inland you'll find championship courses like Slaley Hall, Matfen Hall Hotel, and Burgham Park - home of the PGA North Region Championship - as well as Linden Hall, N1 Golf, and a host of other challenging nine and eighteen hole courses. Tucked away in the picturesque landscapes of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is Allendale Golf Club.

We have a course to suit every level of golfer and you can pay and play with minimal waiting, even at the weekends.
