Christmas visit

Blinkhorn12,
Brilliant stay, lovely friendly people Simon and Clare really made us feel welcome. The accommodation was also great with unique little touches exactly what we wanted. The breakfast is also a real plus, ideal preparation for a hike along the coast!

One night stay

jadeg100, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom
Stayed here on a Tuesday night in the twin room called Longstone. We usually stay in Premier Inns as we have allergies and are allergic to pet hair and fur in particular. Trying to find a B&B that does not cater for pets is very difficult. We went away for a short break and were originally planning to get back to Newcastle but we were longer than expected. We got to Berwick around 3 ish and decided to look for somewhere to stay. After looking at several sites and reviews we came across the Post Office House which was pet free. We were aware check in time was 4pm until 6pm. We made our way to Belford and got there just before 4pm and telephoned the owners who had just returned from a trip out. They were extremely accommodating and we appeared on the doorstep a few minutes later. The room was warm and everything was clean, fresh and welcoming. Good power shower a little compact if you are on the bigger side but not a problem. One tip - if you use hair conditioner - use the mat provided - as it makes the shower slippy. Good information about the surrounding area and history of the house itself. Breakfast was superb, the best and freshest ingredients we have ever had, cooked breakfast made to order as well as an excellent selection of extras cereals, fruit and condiments. Someone has mentioned the set menu in negative terms but don't be put off. Just ask if you would like anything else - I added baked beans - no problem. The set times put some people off but we just worked out the time we thought we would be ready and added half an hour just in case. The excellent reviews of this B&B are spot on. Not much to add from previous reviews, except do not hesitate to contact the owners or ask for anything while you are staying - they are extremely accommodating and will try to do their upmost to make your stay the best they can. We would not hesitate to recommend this B&B and would most certainly return if we were visiting the area.

All round excellence!

Maesgarmon3,
Had to post my first tripadvisor review after staying here! We had such a warm welcome from a lovely couple. All the rooms and ensuites have been furnished and equipped to an incredible standard, and are spotlessly clean with tasteful decorations. Breakfast is delicious with a variety of dishes made from local produce. Local knowledge and advice is readily provided. I cannot recommend Post Office House more highly! There are stunning coastal locations readily accessible and Belford is also very attractive. It's strategically placed for walking too. Amazing! We'd love to return.

Excellent stay

David L, Tarbert, United Kingdom
We had a lovely stay at Post Office House B&B. Claire was most welcoming on the phone and made dinner arrangements for us in advance. Our room was very well equipped and tastefully decorated. Lots of different complimentary teas and coffees (including a Nespresso machine). Very comfy beds and a large range of breakfast options - the full cooked was delicious, as was the porridge with ginger. We would highly recommend this B&B to others.
