Little jewel in the heart of Northumberland.

tr1c1a1956,
We choose Post Office House B&B for a three night stay whilst visiting Northumberland. The location is within easy reach of the A1 and very close to all the amazing attractions the area has to offer. Claire and Simon are excellent hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and their attention to detail is fastidious. They have thought of everything and more besides to make your stay special. Stunning rooms beautifully decorated comfortable, beds, with beautiful bedding and fluffy towels not forgetting the gorgeous toiletries. Extra special touches include the dressing gowns, chocolates, espresso coffee machine and fresh milk in the little fridge. None of your long life milk here. Even a little jar of marshmallows to top of your hot chocolate. Complete luxury. Breakfast menu was extensive with a choice of homemade jams and cereals. Great knowledge of the local area and plenty of maps, books and leaflets on hand. The house and gardens are immaculate and a credit to them both. We loved our stay and will certainly be going back. Five star is not enough. Thank you both for your superb hospitality. Kieron & Tricia

Absolutely amazing

Sunjo, Sunderland
My husband and I stayed for one night during our walk of St. Cuthbert's Way and the Northumberland Coast Path. What an amazing place, there was everything you needed plus many extras such as bath robes, chocolates, espresso coffee machine, a fridge outside the door with fresh milk, all which created an atmosphere of total luxury. Claire and Simon were friendly and looked after us with cake on arrival and a good breakfast before we left. We have never stayed in a B&B with such high standards, it should be rated as a 5 or even 6 star. Many thanks Claire and Simon.

Small, classy B&B with wonderful owners

We stayed as a couple for 3 nights. On arrival we were welcomed with a smile, and home made ginger cake - a terrific start. Little touches like dressing gowns, slippers and chocolates in the room made it feel very special. Breakfasts were of a very high standard, with great choice, and Simon was happy to mix and match. The homemade jams and marmalade were delicious too! A really warm couple who gave any advice and help they could on the local area, and so we made the very most of our time with them. Thanks Claire and Simon We will definitely be back!!
