Brilliant stay

andrewprice2018, Ripon, United Kingdom
My wife and I recently stayed at the Old Post Office and had a really fantastic time. Claire and Simon were so welcoming, from the little touches, the Lindersfarne mead, cake and super breakfast. The room was well decorated, comfortable and it was really a pleasure to stay there. We would really recommend this place as the one to choose.

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: Hello andrewprice2018 and thank you for giving us this lovely review and your recommendation, it is much appreciated :) We hope you both had a lovely time at New Year and we very much look forward to seeing you both again soon. With best wishes Simon and Claire

Anniversary Trip

Valerie025, London, United Kingdom
Absolutely nothing was missed out in this lovely b&b. The owners do all the work themselves and the house is immaculate. Lots of extra touches - bathrobes, fresh milk in fridge, coffee machine, choice of teas etc. Breakfast was amazing freshly cooked plus a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, homemade jams. Such a friendly welcome.

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: What lovely comments, Valerie025 and delighted your stay met the mark. Guests appreciate the added extras we provide, we think it all adds to the experience. We also aim to use as many seasonal fruits as we can and Claire loves making her homemade jams and marmalade, we do different ones throughout the year, according to what is seasonal. We hope you both had a wonderful Festive season with your family and had a safe journey home. Hope to see you both again. With best wishes Simon and Claire

Top class!

Tim D,
Excellent room, nice touches and wonderful hosts, Clare and Simon. New Year’s Eve and day stay with lovely big breakfasts and Prosecco for New Year’s Day breakfast!! Didn’t partake but great offer! Recommended!

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: Thank you, Tim D and so pleased you both enjoyed your New Year stay with us and of course, the fabulous firework display and torch procession we have in Belford. As you discovered, it was a great evening and gets more popular every year. We do aim to set our guests up for the day with a good, quality breakfast and delighted you enjoyed them. It was lovely to meet you both and hope to see you again, in the summer possibly, with the bicycles! With best wishes Simon and Claire

Great place for a hub in Northumberland

VincentG, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
Stayed a couple of nights over Christmas during a time of frost and snow. bedroom was warm with an excellent bed and bathroom. Great attention to detail in day to day facilities and consumables. Breakfast options were plentiful and the fresh fruits and yogurt were excellent (though my partner preferred the baked pears). Claire and Simon were great hosts with good ideas for eating which were both varied varied and fair. Village has a few pubs with food but this is a great place to stay to get to Berwick, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Coldstream and plenty of other places to see and walk in. We'll be going back!

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: We love this review, VincentG, Happy New Year and thank you for taking the time to write such a complimentary one. The baked pears are always a hit in the colder months, we like to provide as many seasonal fruits as we can and pleased your partner liked them. It was a pleasure to have you to stay with us and hope you both had a lovely Christmas. We look forward to seeing you both again in the near future. With best wishes Simon and Claire

Comfortable B&B in small town

collegecounselor, Lawrence, KS
We stayed here 3 nights. Nice room, quiet location, good base for northern half of Northumberland. Beautiful drive to Etal Castle and Scottish border from here. Close to Bamburgh as well. Good breakfasts, and welcoming hosts.

Post Office House Bed & Breakfast replied: Thank you collegecounselor, it was a pleasure to meet you both and pleased you had a good stay with us. Hope you enjoyed the remainder of your time in the UK and got back home safely. With kind regards Claire and Simon
