Tyne Riverside Country Park
Tyne Riverside Country Park
A country park with good disabled access to riverside walks and picnic areas. A traffic-free cycle route runs along the disused waggonway from Prudhoe to Newburn and beyond. There are 2 car parks, one at Wylam and one at Low Prudhoe which has toilets and the park centre. There is easy access from both Prudhoe and Wylam stations and several bus routes. The park has a wide range of wildlife habitats and is an ideal place to watch birds and butterflies.
