Post Office House is a luxurious and comfortable bed and breakfast in an elegant and unique Victorian Grade II Listed former post office and postmaster's residence. We are located in the pretty village of Belford, close to Bamburgh and the beautiful Northumberland Coast. Only a few minutes off the A1 and a short distance from Alnwick, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Holy Island of Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands, we are perfectly situated for exploring Northumberland. We are walker, cycle and motorcycle-friendly, with secure storage facilities for bicycles and garage and level parking for motorcyclists. For walkers, each room is equipped with boot trays and a boot brush at our guest entrance door. We greet all guests personally and welcomed with a slice of our own homemade gingerbread on arrival!

We have three beautiful, individually designed guest rooms which are appointed to a high standard. Comfort, relaxation, safety, excellent sleep quality and delicious, wholesome breakfasts are our highest priorities. All rooms have white cotton bed linen, large fluffy bath sheets, bathrobes and a generous hospitality tray and biscuits. En-suites are equipped with walk-in power showers, heated towel rails and Scottish Fine Soap Company toiletries. Sumptuous, heavy curtains in each bedroom are fully interlined with blackout material. There are also wooden shutters in each room for extra privacy and a peaceful nights' sleep. In addition, there is complimentary WiFi and some private on-site parking available. We also offer single occupancy in all our rooms.

Our award-winning breakfasts are freshly cooked-to-order, using a range of high quality Northumbrian produce, such as the famous Craster Kipper from Robsons and excellent `Bamburgh Banger' sausages sourced from Carters of Bamburgh, a Rick Stein's Hero. Start your day with delicious cafetiere of freshly ground Pilgrims of Holy Island coffee or a pot of Ringtons tea (decaffeinated available). We also offer vegetarian options as standard on our menu and can cater for gluten-free and dairy-free and other special diets, by advance notice. We offer a separate bespoke menu in addition to our standard one, specifically for Vegans, which is extra at £5 per room, per day. Please contact us on reservation with any special food requirements.

Guests are welcome to relax in our garden where we have seating, a barbeque for guest use where you can chill out with a glass of your favourite tipple or enjoy an alfresco fish supper from our excellent fish and chip shop in the village. At the same time, watch our lovely wild birds hopping around, some of which are quite tame and in the Spring, say hello to the sheep and lambs over the wall, you may be lucky to see one of our resident hedgehogs or frogs!

Strictly no dogs or children. We have do not have capacity for extra beds in any of our rooms and are adult only (over 18 years). We are sorry but no stag/hen/wedding bookings or divers. We regrettably cannot accommodate wheelchairs or mobility scooters due to the historic fabric of the building.
