Post Office House is 4-Star Gold luxurious and comfortable bed and breakfast in an elegant Victorian Grade II Listed former post office and postmaster's residence. We are located in Belford, near Bamburgh and a stone's throw-away from the beautiful Northumberland Coast. We are close to Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Holy Island of Lindisfarne and Farne Islands. Post Office House is perfectly situated between Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed and just 2 minutes off the A1. Walker, bicycle and motorcycle friendly, where we have secure storage facilities for bicycles and secure, level parking for motorcyclists.

We have three beautiful individually designed en-suite rooms which are appointed to a high standard with luxury white cotton bedding, fluffy towels, bathrobes and Scottish Fine Soap Company toiletries. In addition, facilities also include homemade cake on arrival, complimentary WiFi and private on-site parking for three cars (one space per room).

Our award-winning breakfasts are freshly cooked-to-order, using a range of quality local produce. There are vegetarian options which are also standard on our menu. We can cater for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan and any other special diets, by advance notice. We offer a separate bespoke menu for Vegans which is extra at £5 per day. Sorry, no pets or children under 15 years. We have no capacity for extra beds in any of our rooms. No stag/hen/wedding bookings or divers. We regrettably cannot accommodate wheelchairs or mobility scooters due to the historic fabric of the building.
