The Dennis Kilgallon Gallery is situated in a beautiful converted barn set in the glorious landscape of the North Pennines, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). High in the hills above the Allenbanks, hidden down intriguing country lanes. See if you can spot the Stone Circle (it's actually quite recent).
An eclectic mix of painting, sculpture and ceramics, from excellent local and national artists. With a new exhibition every two months. Walk in the garden and admire the sculptures. The large ceramic sculptures were made by Dennis when he had his studio and workshop (for 15 years) at Kirkharle, the birthplace of Capabilty Brown near Wallington (NT), and are, therefore, the last peices.
After working in ceramics for 40 years he was ready for a change of direction to run this delightful gallery. He still works as an artist in bronze and paints. Come and visit this serene part of the country, which is 10 minutes from Allenbanks (NT) and 20 minutes from the Roman Wall at Twice Brewed.
Opening on Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holidays (11.00-5.00) from the beginning of March until the beginning of Novemember, and by appointment during the week throughout the year.
