Plessey Woods Country Park
Pretty primroses in spring, humming honeysuckles in summer, bursts of colour in autumn and shimmering frost in winter make Plessey Woods Country Park a delightful day out year-round. Explore winding nature trails, riverside routes and wild meadows.
Plessey Woods Country Park & Visitor Centre is set in 100 acres of enchanting woodland, wild-flower-clad meadows and romantic riverside as the River Blyth runs through the park. Its intricate network of paths and trails make this a great spot for walkers, cyclists, horse-riders and picnickers.
Wander along the river bank to spot otters peeping out of the water and kingfishers skimming the surface. Self-guided trails and children’s clue trails offer a fantastic family day out, and for the artists among you there is a sculpture trail created in partnership with a local artist.
With a visitor centre perfect for picking up gifts, a young children’s play area and a café to enjoy a warming drink Plessey Woods Country Park caters for all ages.
