Overview

Eshott Hall is a truly elegant Georgian country house which offers luxurious and stylish guest accommodation. This delightful small boutique hotel is located in the heart of Northumberland only two miles from the A1 between Morpeth and Alnwick.  This 17th century Hall is set within beautiful gardens and woodland in the heart of Northumberland, and has been lovingly restored to its former glory by owners Robert & Gina Parker.

The Hall offers 11 en-suite bedrooms each individually designed with sumptuous fabrics and furnishings mixing antiques with contemporary style. Reception rooms, such as the Drawing Room and Library, are ideal for relaxing and generate a feeling of being at home in this beautiful Hall.

Menus created by Head Chef, Andrew Blakey & Mark Willis, are creative using seasonal and local produce, some from Eshott Hall's own kitchen garden. The gardens and woodland surrounding the house offer privacy and tranquillity and are home to red squirrels.

Ideally located in the heart of Northumberland, Eshott Hall is close to major transport links and local attractions.

Afternoon Tea wonderful A hidden gem

Patsy J, Newcastle, United Kingdom
We visited for tea and were very impressed by the warm welcome and very comfortable house. The hall is more like a home from home with lovely staff and surroundings. People were booking in for weddings or for the week end. The afternoon tea was excellnet and equal to anything we have had in Londons hotels. A hidden gem.

Perfect peaceful getaway

Mark H,
We stayed over last weekend, to celebrate my wife's birthday. Great rooms, with comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Afternoon tea is a must, as is eating in the restaurant of an evening. The steak and belly pork were both served to perfection. I highly recommend a nightcap in the library, in front of the roaring fire at this time of year. The staff are absolutely amazing and make your stay all the more better. We visited the beach on the way home, which is situated 4 miles from the hall. I will certainly be back.

Fantastic

Paul E,
Atended a wedding at the weekend and stayed over in the bluebell room. Could not fault the hotel in any department, the food great, staff great, the fantastic log fires in the hotel reception rooms. Best of all was the bluebell room. If you stay over you have to ask for this room. Over all a great stay and will be back.

Lovely food and service, rooms need some tlc

Viva81, UK
Came for a two night break to celebrate our anniversary. We booked in for dbb and afternoon tea on first day. Pros All the food was excellent, lovely choice, homemade and only improvement would be lighter scrambled eggs at breakfast but that is being picky. Afternoon tea best I've ever had and so much food! Beautiful grounds and lovely walks around the estate. All Staff friendly, kind and helpful. Main house well kept and warm and inviting atmosphere. Well stocked bar. All of this is worth a five star rating. Cons Housekeeping needs looking at and training given. Bathroom wasn't terribly clean on arrival. Used soap, hairs around toilet and in shower and no shower gel either. Hairs in bedding. Glasses taken back to room from bar previous eve still in room after housekeeping had visited the following day. Bathroom incredibly hot, sauna like and needs some tlc -grouting round bath, peeling ceiling above shower. Carpet in bedroom grubby because it is cream. This sounds like a lot of negatives and when we arrived we did feel disappointed due to expecting a 'luxury' double but thankfully the food and staff and location did make it an enjoyable stay. Would come back but would prefer a different room unless updated.
