Overview

Eshott Hall is a truly elegant Georgian country house which offers luxurious and stylish guest accommodation. This delightful small boutique hotel is located in the heart of Northumberland only two miles from the A1 between Morpeth and Alnwick.  This 17th century Hall is set within beautiful gardens and woodland in the heart of Northumberland, and has been lovingly restored to its former glory by owners Robert & Gina Parker.

The Hall offers 11 en-suite bedrooms each individually designed with sumptuous fabrics and furnishings mixing antiques with contemporary style. Reception rooms, such as the Drawing Room and Library, are ideal for relaxing and generate a feeling of being at home in this beautiful Hall.

Menus created by Head Chef, Andrew Blakey & Mark Willis, are creative using seasonal and local produce, some from Eshott Hall's own kitchen garden. The gardens and woodland surrounding the house offer privacy and tranquillity and are home to red squirrels.

Ideally located in the heart of Northumberland, Eshott Hall is close to major transport links and local attractions.

Stunning weekend away in a relaxing retreat

Wattage1980, Addingham, United Kingdom
Had a lovely weekend away at the hotel in January. Felt very welcomed and at home straight away. Lovely relaxing retreat with pheasants roaming wild in the ground. Very quiet spot well off the main road and well worth a visit, simply stunning. Had evening meals at the hotel both nights. Check the menu out for up to date choices as it changes regularly. Great food, lovely wine and the cheese and biscuits with a piece of honeycomb is stunning. Bar area is very relaxing and nice to just sit and unwind after a day out sightseeing. Breakfast too was very nice with a great variety of hot and cold breakfast options. Stayed in the collingwood room which was very comfy and had a quirky feature of a bath in the middle of the room and a little side WC. All in all, a fantastic stay and would definitely return.

Almost perfect... almost

Chris_GB1612QZ, Ripponden, United Kingdom
What a stunning setting and a lovely building in beautiful grounds. The rooms are excellent and the high quality towels are changed every day, The staff are great and the breakfasts are perfection - 100% by anyone's standard. So the downside. The dinner menu pushes its luck and the food is a little underwhelming. My wild mushroom soup was cold and not well cooked. The cod loin I had next was a small starter size (really tiny) and the gnocchi was ridiculously undercooked. My next meal was a fillet steak, which was okay. My wife and I were interested in having some cheese after our main course but they wanted £33, which is plain stupid. (Their pricing structure is childlike). Overall, a great place but the kitchen needs to gear up above the hype level and deliver some smarter food at sensible prices. (I almost scored 3 stars but the quality of the rooms outpaces the restaurant .

Old Charmer

Michael M, Gold Coast, Australia
Another great find on our 6 week road trip of UK. We always look for accommodation late afternoon so never know what we will get. Lovey big room everything spotless which is our main priority. Was reasonably late but dinner was no problem followed by good breakfast. We recommend

big Room

fattystratty, Leeds, United Kingdom
If you want a Big room then this is the place for you , the bathroom could be as big as your average room . The bed was very comfy as well . We got a great deal on our night here with a meal thrown in and a couple of glasses of prosecco on arrival and even though I thought the meal was average it was a fantastic deal and well worth it .As for the location was a beautiful house and gardens. I did thing that some of the housekeeping could of been better , but overall a nice stay .
