Northumberland Dark Sky Park

Northumberland International Dark Sky Park was unveiled in December 2013. At 572 square miles (1,483 square kilometres) it is also Europe’s largest area of protected night sky. Due to its pristine skies it was awarded gold tier designation by the International Dark Sky Association, making it officially the best place in England for people to go to enjoy the heavens.

Berwick Elizabethan Town Walls

Berwick's town walls are its most famous piece of architecture and still stand strong today, hundreds of years after they were built by Queen Elizabeth to keep out the invading Scots.

Eastwoods park lies on the eastern edge of Prudhoe, or West Wylam, and was originally known as the West Wylam Welfare. The park has two play areas, football pitches, a cricket strip and pavilions.
