There are two pubs within a one minute walk, providing good food, local ales and weekend entertainment. There are plenty of walks and cycle routes from the village with some beautiful sights en-route. Activities and places of interest, such as Farne Island boat trips and Bamburgh Castle are only a few mile away and the historic market town of Alnwick complete with Castle and Gardens is just a 20 minute journey.
