Founded in 2011 in the charming village of Felton, The Running Fox has grown from a single artisan bakery into a welcoming network of five cafés across Northumberland. Our locations range from peaceful riverbank retreats to countryside hubs and historic courtyards, each offering its own unique sense of place while sharing the same heartfelt ethos.

At the core of The Running Fox is a commitment to quality, creativity and provenance. Each café serves freshly baked pastries, hearty pies, quiches and cakes, all made daily using locally sourced ingredients that celebrate the region’s bounty. Our menus also include bespoke afternoon teas an indulgent favourite with locals and visitors alike  alongside classic café dishes designed to suit every moment of the day.
