Family dinner for eight, great choice of foodthe service was great, our first visit this and the standard is as high as ever, we would recommend this hotel and restaurant. Anthony
We stayed for one night. The room Was very spacious and well appointed. Spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable though slightly too hard for my liking. Breakfast was very nice. Good selection of hot food and very tasty. The only drawback was they stopped serving breakfast at 9.30am on the dot and we saw a couple of guests arrive just after and everything including the coffee had been cleared away. We would certainly consider staying at this hotel again.
Dog friendly, people friendly. What more can you ask for.

Made to feel very welcome on arrival. The room was very spacious & well equipped. We visited the restaurant for an evening meal & was very pleased with the choices on the menu. I had the shoulder of lamb & it was so tender, it melted in the mouth. It was delicious. The atmosphere around the building was very pleasant & relaxing. Even the dogs had a drink at the table, albeit a bowl ! A very nice touch from the staff. Thank you so much.

I was staying here with work and therefore had a meal booked with my hotel for the price of £50 which is great value for money. It’s a great rustic pub setting just off the A50 next to a BP and McDonald’s (with a great woods for walking/running routes if you’re into that). I decided to have something to eat in the restaurant as it had been paid for and it was a great meal, I had the stake and ale pie (which was huge in all fairness) with home made chips and garden pees. It really was a great meal so you may be wondering why I only gave it 3 stars? As I was about half way through my meal I decided to replenish my beer as it was running some what low. I left my knife and fork in the 3 and 9 position (on the clock) to indicate this beast had not been defeated. on my return to my horror I’d had my plate removed from my table. I looked around like a lost child in a supermarket expecting to find the hamburgeler in pursuit with my evening meal but there was no culprit to be seen. On this reason alone I’ve decided to go with 3 stars. Guard your food with your life and I’m sure you’ll be fine.
