First overnight stay booked after reading all the good reviews. We were going to Mighty Dub Fest 2019 at Alnwick Castle so ideal location. Receptionist at check in couldn’t have been more helpful. Our room along ground floor corridor was clean, modern & spacious. Well stocked hospitality tray including biscuits. Large comfortable bed with plenty of pillows. Although just beside A1, there was only distant sound of traffic and quiet through night. Bar staff were also friendly & helpful. We enjoyed lunch and evening meals here. Cauliflower & Lentil curry very good as was thick gammon steak. Generous portion of Sticky toffee pudding went down well. Breakfast buffet was included in price of room. Husband assembled the full Northumbrian & I had continental with muesli, yogurt, nice decent-sized, warm croissant & filter coffee. Surroundings in restaurant very pleasant and outside tables & chairs also inviting for sunny days. Lovely hanging baskets. Dog friendly facilities too. It’s roughly a 30 minute walk into Alnwick itself but just 5 minutes in car with plenty parking. Highly Recommend

Stopped off for a lunchtime meal with our disabled Mum. Brilliant access to all facilities for us all. Friendly , extremely helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The varied menu is served all day. many choices to suit all tastes and requirements. Plenty of room to move around, in fact quite spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. So many thanks to all.

Visited here with my husband a few times since Jan, varying from breakfast and dinner, if you are wanting hearty warm pub food you have come to the right place. I had the lamb shank for my main and it was delicious fell to pieces. It was complimented with mash potato and mint sauce. The pub is very modern with a homely/warm decor with plenty of seating. You have to go to the bar to order and pay however your food is brought out to you and very promptly! This place also offers accommodation, I am unsure what the rooms are like however if the restaurant is anything to go off by, I would expect them to be of a high standard as well! Will be continuing to visit here. :)
