Tuesday 10th June | 8PM - 9.30PM | Church of St Peter The Fisherman, Craster
In June 2025 Tyne Valley based singer-songwriter Gareth Davies-Jones will be walking (with a guitar !) from Lindisfarne via St Oswald's Way and The Way of Light Northern Saints Trail - arriving into Durham on the Eve of Midsummer.
As he goes, the journey itself will provide inspiration, stories and perspectives for a new collection of songs to be written and recorded in Autumn/ Winter 2025.
During the walk he is performing a series of intimate acoustic concerts at atmospheric venues with songs from across his career and particularly those relating to the North East - for example "Lindisfarne" about Eadfrith and the writing of the Lindisfarne Gospels and Heavenfield - written about St Oswald's Church on Hadrian's Wall. Come along and be part of the journey.
This concert sees Gareth arrive into Craster from Bamburgh at the end of Journey Day 2 to play in the small seaside Church of St Peter The Fisherman.
