05/10/2018 | Great hostsCarr44, UK Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Georgian family home overlooking Budle Bay. Delicious breakfast and very comfy bed. Excellent recommendations for dinner from Ralph and Celia who also gave us a lift on the first night when we wanted to have a drink. Would have no hesitation in staying there again. Great wake-up view from the Yellow Room |
26/09/2018 | Lovely old country house - A family home- unfussy & comfortableCaroline B, Bury St. Edmunds, United Kingdom We spent a weekend in what is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful parts of the country and our visit was made all the more wonderful by our stay at Budle Hall. It is an absolute treasure, a lovely country house which is also the family home. Unlike many country house b& b's / hotels there isn't an ounce of pretention, just a warm welcome, gorgeous comfy accommodation, gracious and friendly hosts and a really good breakfast. I really liked the fact that everyone sat at a refectory style table , so you get to chat to the other guests - but perhaps this isn't for everyone. Overall, a wonderful stay - really good value and we'll definitey be going back ! |
02/09/2018 | A great place for a family gatheringlucanor1, John in Sheffield We stayed at Budle Hall for three nights recently for a family gathering for a significant wedding anniversary, with an age-range from 71 to 12 years old (we are a small family). Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we had an elegant sitting-room at our disposal. The breakfast, served in a similarly impressive dining-room, were excellent, and included an impressive range of choices. Most of all, we were made to feel very welcome, and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience of staying at Budle Hall. Thank-you to everyone at Budle Hall for making this a most memorable celebration. |
05/08/2018 | Lovely stayFeona V, Rugby, United Kingdom We recently stayed at Budle Hall and it was lovely. Yummy breakfasts, excellent hosts and huge beds - perfect! Great location and fascinating part of the world which I am keen to revisit soon and I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else. |
15/07/2018 | Budle Hall Bed and BreakfastJames P, Norwich, United Kingdom Lovely place to stay in it's own grounds. Great hosts and staff. We especially liked the arrangement for breakfast where we all ate at one big table. We got to know our fellow guests and we were lucky that they were all friendly. One couple lives about 8 miles from us. What is the chance of that! The room we stayed in was lovely, (Green room). The bed was really comfy and really large. I think another time I will try the room with the fantastic bathroom. We loved seeing the hens roaming around the garden and I'm sure we must have had some of their eggs. The staff were just great. At the time we went, they were mostly students from the EU: Italy, Czech Republic and Germany. I even had my case taken to my room and a tray of tea and cake served to welcome us in the lovely lounge. If you are a pianist, there are two grand pianos you can play, one is a Steinway concert grand. This place has got it just right as far as I am concerned. |
