Sunday 28th September 2025 | 10.45am - 1.30pm | Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre, Amble, NE65 0JR
Help us conduct a biodiversity survey of the coastline. We will do quadrat & walkover surveys to understand what life we have in the area.
Join our team of staff and local volunteers to carry out a rocky shore survey as part of a citizen science project called Shoresearch, where we record the rock pool species that we find along the North East coast.
You do not need to have any experience of survey work or of rocky shore ecology as there will be experts on hand to assist you, so beginners are most welcome!
This is part of a national survey being carried out by Wildlife Trusts across the UK. To find out more about Shoresearch please click here. Durham Wildlife Trust will provide all the sampling kit, survey sheets and identification guides.
Booking is essential!
