The Yule Gaderung - Gather, Feast, Celebrate

As the nights draw in and the fires are lit, Ad Gefrin invites you to gather for The Yule Gaderung - a weekend midwinter celebration of Northumberland's land, people, and traditions. This special unique winter event revives the Anglo-Saxon spirit of Yule: a time of light, warmth, and community. 

In the warmth and soft glow of the marquee and across the Ad Gefrin grounds, explore a winter market filled with Northumbrian makers, bakers, and distillers. Discover gifts and flavours that tell the story of our land, from wild honey and winter spirits, to cheese, hearty pies, and handcrafted keepsakes.

Whether you come for the food, the stories, the music, or the sense of community, The Yule Gaderung invites you to gather under the marquee lights, share in Northumberland's festive spirit, and celebrate the warmth of Yule at Ad Gefrin. 

Saturday day visits (10am - 4pm)
Day tickets are free to book for each day.

Our Craeft Series tasting sessions will be led by our Director of Distilling, Ben Murphy, as he introduces you to the newly released single cask single malts.

Our regular 90 minutes tours with tastings (£25) are available at 11am and 1.45pm today and can be booked here.

Short tours lasting 30 minutes without tastings (£10) are available at the times shown here. 

Saturday night Ceilidh (7pm - 10.30pm)
Arrival from 7pm for welcome drink (included in ticket price). Dancing from 8pm with the Monster Ceilidh band.

Bar Available. Street Food available to purchase or the option to book into our Beodern Bistro for evening food - served from 5pm until 8.15pm. (pre-booking recommended)
Carriages at 10.30pm.
