Tynemouth Station Book Fair

Tynemouth Station Book Fair is a FREE lively and friendly event held on four Sundays a year on the west concourse of Tynemouth Metro Station, a beautifully restored Victorian station just a few miles from Newcastle upon Tyne. 

Around 40-50 booksellers regularly take part, offering an eclectic range of thousands of antiquarian and second hand books, as well as postcards, ephemera and local authors. 

On the station's east concourse the regular weekend market attracts thousands of visitors every weekend. Visitors to the Book Fair can cross the station's original covered bridge with integral art installations  to sample the delights of the regular market, including crafts, food, clothing, arts and photography. 

As well as the street  food stalls, there is also a cafe and bar and restaurant in the station.

The Tyne and Wear Metro system links Tynemouth to Newcastle, South Northumberland, Gateshead and Sunderland, and trains arrive every few minutes. Parking is also available onsite at the book fair, as well as in the village.

All surplus proceeds from the Book Fair go towards North Tyneside Art Studio's management of the Bridge Gallery at the Station.
