Contemporary art comes to Ad Gefrin this autumn as we welcome Modern Classics, the first exhibition in our new partnership with The Biscuit Factory.
Based in Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne, The Biscuit Factory is an independent contemporary art, craft and design gallery. For almost 25 years it has provided a platform for artists, makers and designers, and this new partnership marks the first time the gallery has taken its exhibition programme beyond its Newcastle home.
Modern Classics brings together work by Paula Dunn, Angelo Murphy and Garry Courtnell, exploring light and atmosphere, the everyday and the elemental through contemporary works rooted in traditional techniques.
The exhibition begins a new programme of exhibitions, conversations and gatherings curated by The Biscuit Factory at Ad Gefrin, bringing together two worlds with a shared appreciation for material, process, patience and craft.
Come and discover contemporary art in the heart of north Northumberland and the beginning of a new creative chapter at Ad Gefrin.
