The Maltings

The Maltings Eastern Lane venue is now closed for a multi-million-pound redevelopment and is due to reopen by the end of 2027. This transformational building project is funded by the Borderlands Regional Growth Deal and Northumberland County Council.

During this period, we will continue to offer:

• the latest film releases and event broadcasts at our Maltings Cinema at Berwick Barracks
• our visual arts exhibition programme at The Granary Gallery
• pop-up live events and performances across the town
• our Creative Learning programme for schools
• Maltings Youth Theatre termly sessions
• an expanded community engagement programme of artist-led workshops, lectures and events
• Artist residencies and commissions as part of the Living Barracks Berwick Shines engagement programme in locations across Berwick
