North Northumbrian Brewery to Open onsite Glamping

Northumbrian brewery Cheviot Brewery are set to open a glamping site, Cheviot Glamping, at their brewery near Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Northumbrian brewery Cheviot Brewery are set to open a glamping site, Cheviot Glamping, at their brewery near Berwick-upon-Tweed. Nestled besides the tranquil Slainsfield Wood on the Ford and Etal estate, the site will open with a mix of bespoke designed glamping pods complete with en-suite shower room and traditional canvas bell tents which feature comfortable double beds.

This small site is located besides the brewery’s onsite tap bar, Cheviot Tap, which after opening in Summer 2020, proved extremely popular for its fresh cask ale and stone baked pizzas made onsite in the bars pizza oven.

However the onsite bar is just one of the standout attractions of the site, Cheviot Glamping is also home to Cheviot Alpacas who visitors can book special alpaca experiences to get up close and hands on with.

“Whether you are into real ale or not, our site is a peaceful retreat, well placed for hiking, cycling and the history and attractions of North Northumberland,” say Ellie Bain, site manage. “Our site is perfect for families and fully dog friendly.”

Situated on the Ford and Etal estate, an area that has its own attractions and highlights, the site will be a great base from which to explore the rest of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.

North Northumberland is well known for its history and peaceful landscape that attracts devoted regular visitors. The coastline is rugged and windswept, punctuated by castles that dominate the landscape, inland it is perfect for cycling and walking within the peaceful Cheviot hills which gives the brewery its name.
