Druridge Bay parkrun is a welcoming weekly 5km event that brings visitors and the local community together in a stunning coastal park setting. Open to all abilities, participants can walk, jog or run the route, or get involved by volunteering or supporting others.
Taking place every Saturday at 9am at Druridge Bay Country Park, the event is free to attend and focuses on enjoyment rather than competition. First-time participants should sign up with parkrun beforehand and bring their personal barcode to receive a recorded time.
There’s no pressure to be quick — the emphasis is on participation, inclusivity and community. Families may also be interested in nearby junior parkrun events on Sundays for children aged 4–14.
