The Crǣft Series: First Ever Single Malt Launch from Ad Gefrin

An intimate evening to mark the launch of the first single malts distilled in Northumberland. Guests will have the exclusive opportunity to taste the first of Ad Gefrin’s Single Malt Casks to be made public. Only three unique casks are being released.

In October 2025, as casks were assessed, a select few stood apart, distinct, expressive, complete in themselves, and recognised by our Director of Distilling, Ben Murphy, as flavours worth capturing, not for combining.

Each release is an intentional pause. A single cask, chosen and shared just as it is

Each Cask has been paired with an emerging North East Artist. In our Crǣft series, the art and science of our distilling meets their vision as the artists have responded creatively to the personality of the whisky – and their work forms the basis of the labelling.

Three casks. Three pieces of Art. One moment.

Crǣft (meaning ‘art’ or ‘skill’ in Old English) is born from these moments.

Welcome drink on arrival, with an introduction from Co-founders Alan and Eileen Ferguson. Celebratory food will be followed by the story behind the Crǣft series, the discovery of the artists, and what this means for Ad Gefrin from Director of Distilling, Ben Murphy.

Artwork from our collaborating artists will be on display throughout, with the artists will be present to share their work.

There will be the opportunity to buy one bottle of this exclusive release on the night prior to public launch.

A bar will be open for the purchase of additional drinks. Carriages at 9:30pm
