The Ford & Etal Scarycrow Trail

The famous SCARYCROW TRAIL has been running for over 19 years and causes great excitement amongst visitors and locals.

Follow the trail of weird and wonderful ‘Scarycrows’ around the villages, awarding them scores as you go. Pick up a trail map and score sheet from one of the village shops. Hand in the sheet at any of the same venues when you have finished the trail. We’ll add the totals together at the end of the week to determine the winning Scarycrow 2026! The decision is yours.

There is no charge for this event but, if you can, please give a donation for the trail map and score sheet, as all proceeds will be given to Cash For Kids Borders and North Northumberland.

The Scarycrows are created by locals and local businesses and we are very grateful for their support and enthusiasm. Without their creativity and hard work there would be no event.

We respectfully ask visitors not to touch the Scarycrows.
