Every October, families from across Northumberland, Newcastle, and the wider North East join us at Brocksbushes for a pumpkin-picking day out like no other. Whether it’s your first time or an annual tradition, here’s everything you can look forward to this autumn.

Running throughout October, the Northumberland attraction will once again welcome thousands of visitors to enjoy homegrown pumpkin picking, family activities, seasonal food and drink, photo opportunities, live entertainment and much more.

New for 2026, visitors can expect to encounter a host of roaming characters throughout the pumpkin patch, bringing the experience to life for younger guests.  From magical encounters to surprise interactions, the entertainment has been designed to create memorable moments and add an extra touch of Halloween fun.

The Pumpkin Experience features a range of exciting attractions, including the return of the popular pumpkin carving tent, a magical ‘Witches Way’, Baby Brocks Pumpkin Patch, a brand-new Monster Pumpkin Castle and family-friendly rides and inflatables. Guests can also enjoy delicious food from local vendors, Brocksbushes Bites, Fire & Dough, The Street Diner & The Churros Van, alongside special Pumpkin Twilight Sessions featuring live music, street food, seasonal drinks and twinkling lights among the patch. 

This year the Brocksbushes Farm team planted 155,000 pumpkins and squash with over 40+ varieties, offering plenty of choice for carving, decorating and cooking.  

"Our team work incredibly hard to grow our pumpkins right here on the farm," said Harry Dickinson, Director of Brocksbushes. "The hot weather has certainly presented some challenges this year, and while visitors may notice fewer giant pumpkins than usual due to the lack of rain, we're delighted to have produced as always a wonderful variety of shapes, sizes and colours." 

Entry - Entry to the Pumpkin Experience starts from just £3.50 per person, with a Family Ticket available for £12 for up to five people, making it an affordable autumn day out for families across the North East.  Carving kits can be purchased at an additional cost.

Toddler Days in the Patch - From Monday 19th until Thursday 22nd October, bring along your mini ones to enjoy a quieter environment whilst the big kids are still at school!  Explore the new Baby Brocks Pumpkin Patch and dedicated activities from 10am until 2pm each day.

WOOF Weekend and WOOF Wednesdays - The all new WOOF WEEKEND will be on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th only.  WOOF Wednesday returns Wednesday 21st and 28th October only.  These days will be dedicated dog-friendly days in the patch! All we ask is that you keep dogs on leads at all times, and clear up after your dogs using the bins provided.

Twilight Sessions - We’re hosting a couple of magical Pumpkin Twilight Sessions – think live music, tasty street food, seasonal cocktails & mocktails, and twinkling lights under the stars among the pumpkin patch. Twilight sessions will run on Friday 16th and Friday 23rd October only until 8pm.

Located just 10 minutes from Hexham and 30 minutes from Newcastle, Brocksbushes Pumpkin Experience returns for its seventh year and has become a seasonal tradition for many families, combining homegrown produce with unforgettable family entertainment in the heart of Northumberland.
