Kielder Forest Centenary Celebration Weekend

Join Forestry England at Kielder Castle on 5-6 September for a special celebration weekend marking 100 years of Kielder Forest, with a packed programme of family-friendly activities, entertainment and outdoor adventures.

Saturday 5th September
All Day                   Maverick Running Events
11am                      Visit to 100 years old forest plantation – No places left (sorry!)
11am - 4pm           Family Cycle Day – Team Cycles for more information Mountain Bike Rides Osprey / Lone Star / Deadwater options 
4pm - 6pm             In Forest Marquee - Boggle Hole (below Kielder Castle)
5pm - 6pm             Lord Robinson’s vision, Michael Lawson Smith - historical insight of Kielder Forest
7pm                       Formal opening of event words from speakers
8pm - 11pm          100 years of Kielder Music Night - Tarset Choir, Big Red and the Grinners Catering and Bar provided by The Duck House Pantry all weekend at the Forest Marquee!

Sunday 6th September
All Day                 100 Years of Kielder Forest Display incl Market Stalls (inside Marquee)
All Day                  Horse and Carriage Rides into the forest (pay per ride)
10am - 4pm          Kielder annual Vintage & Classic Vehicle Show
11am and 1pm     Working Forest Display (in woodland adjacent to car park and Forest Drive)
12pm                    Live Forestry display (in front of Marquee) including Horse Logging demo
 2pm                     Kielder Dog Show (in front of Marquee)
 3pm                     Duck Race
 4pm                     Event Close
