Celebrating 70 years of walking in Northumberland
A full programme of guided walks up to Sat 26 Dec | Various locations in the National Park
Northumberland National Park turns 70 this year, and what better way to mark the milestone than on foot. The 70th Anniversary Walking Festival brings together a specially selected programme of guided walks, each chosen to showcase the landscapes, history, wildlife and geology that make this corner of Northumberland so special.
From open moorland and quiet valleys to ancient trackways and hidden corners, every route offers a fresh perspective on a landscape that has been shaped and walked for generations. Whether you're a regular visitor or discovering the National Park for the first time, the festival is a chance to slow down, get outdoors and connect with everything that makes this place remarkable.
All walks are led by experienced volunteers who bring the landscape to life with local knowledge and genuine enthusiasm. Self-guided routes are also available for those who prefer to explore at their own pace.
