Friday 10th April - Thursday 31st December 2026 | 10am - 5pm | Corbridge Roman Town, NE45 5NT
'Romans, Rivers and Rituals' explores the Romans’ fascination with running water, appeasing the gods and good luck.
Objects donated by the divers who found them in the River Tyne are on display for the first time, and reveal fascinating stories about Roman life. Discovered near the remains of a Roman bridge once used as a crossing to the town, the objects include a gladiator knife handle, a scabbard slide for a sword, a buckle, a mount in the shape a panther, and a number of coins.
Romans, Rivers and Rituals is included with admission. Book early and save 15%.
