NAM as the Northern Artisans’ Markets has become affectionately known is now in its third year and our aim is to introduce as many people as possible to the amazingly diverse range of skills and talent that is here in the North East of England and Scottish Borders.

NAM was set up by 4 practising artisans Jane Harbottle Art, Diane Stewardson Jewellery , Ami Plastow Ord Originals and Jane Charles Studio Glass who have established a series of events held in village halls across Northumberland over the summer season.

In a world where everything is so fast moving we want to slow down that pace and give our visitors an enhanced shopping experience enjoying and understanding the power of handmade. Awakening all of the senses by meeting the makers, learning about their inspirations, techniques and processes.

On show will be wildlife art, studio glass, silver jewellery, brass and copper artwork, lino printing, textiles, metal clocks, ceramics, honey and bees wax products, children’s books, pyrography and hand carved wooden spoons.

Come and meet Jane Harbottle Wildlife Artist , Jane Charles Glass Artist, Diane Stewardson Jeweller , Ami Plastow Ord Originals Brass and Copper Artist, Charred Wood, Felix and Everley’s Mini Adventures, Marian Mather Ceramics, Gillian Swales Art, Elaine King Textiles, Joe Walter Spoon Carving, Margaret Lovering All about the Bees, Jill Stewart Metal Artist. 

There will also be our signature on site pop up cafe run by Company B serving a delicious selection of home baking and refreshments through out the day.

Allowing the visitors to linger longer and savour the unique ✨NAMBIANCE✨. This is our penultimate event of 2026 and it presents a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of mediums and it is never too early to be thinking about buying those special Christmas gifts for friends and family .
