Visited here in October 2016 and were pleased with the food BUT visited again last weekend and OMG has this place improved. The menu and general feel of the place had improved........fabulous selection of starters and main courses. Compliments again to the chef for the fantastic Field Mushroom Starter and Beef Stew main with mustard dumpling......JUST YUM YUM. Staff were very helpful and friendly and we are looking forward to going back.

A lovely bar and restaurant with reasonably priced food and drink. The staff were friendly and helpful. Set in one of the most beautiful areas in the country, the views form the seating areas are fab.
An oasis of good food, pale ale and WI-FI!!
Whilst we enjoyed self catering, the Boat Inn made a very pleasant change. We ate there twice. Sadly I wouldn't recommend the pizzas. All base and very little topping! However the other food we ate was good. I would recommend the choice at the bar, in particular the Collingwood pale ale. The bar staff were very helpful and friendly. The big plus was the WI-FI, a real positive if you need to keep in touch with the outside world!
