Arrived at 5:30 to be told they were fully booked. This appeared to mean tables are used once per day only. Waiter eventually allowed us to use a table that was booked several hours later. Food was ok but expensive, service slow.

We visited as it was our first night staying in lodges, food was not great, fish and chips were a wee bit greasy and I was given the wrong pizza. Won't be using again
amazing food with amazing views

the food and service was excellent and dog friendly too. They have additional activities on site to keep the kids happy while you relax by the water edge
Small place but with lovely views of the Kieder area.

Only a small place to visit and food is pretty average but those views of Kieder Water is well worth the visit. The staff were friendly enough and polite to customers but the food is nothing to write home about. Next time I visit I'll go into the cafe next door.
Poor Menu Choice
Arrived for food on bank holiday Monday after travelling up from Yorkshire to visit the area. We sat down only to be told they had run out of various items off the menu. Which left us very little to choose from (due to dietary requirements). Apparently a food order/delivery hadn't been placed either by the kitchen or management for a busy bank holiday weekend!? The only good thing about the visit was a lad who was wearing a white shirt and called Dave? who was very warm, welcoming and friendly. Kept checking to see if we were OK (as he could tell we were all disappointed) chatting to us, apologising about the limited menu choice we had. Kept on reassuring us that food was on the way (as it was taking a little while to get to us.) The 2 star rating is for the poor menu choice not the service. The service from the waiter was actually 100% (felt sorry for him having to tell others about the menu etc as some weren't as understanding as us).
