May Racing Evening

Come and join us for our May Racing Evening. There will be 7 races for you to enjoy. Bring the kids along, there will be some free children’s entertainment!

Situated 600 feet above Hexham, the National Hunt course has 15 scheduled race meetings throughout the year including several popular weekend and evening fixtures. The Racecourse takes full advantage of its natural amphitheatre setting to provide superb viewing of racing.

We have a number of bars and a café here at the Racecourse. There will also be at least one food van here on the day.

Picnics can be brought to the Racecourse providing it is consumed outside, there are a number of picnic benches, you are also welcome to bring picnic chairs/rugs.

Bets can be placed with the bookmakers standing in the betting ring, Britibet who operate a number of betting kiosks, or in the William Hill Betting Shop.

We have no strict dress code. Jeans and shorts are permitted but we don’t allow football tops. Fancy dress is allowed however we do request that it is respectable and will not offend other racegoers. It is advisable to dress appropriately for the weather conditions.

We recommend that you book your tickets in advance of the day, there is a discount on tickets booked before 2pm the day before racing. Tickets will be available to purchase on the day and cash or card is accepted.
Under 18’s who are accompanied by an adult go free to all of our race meetings.
